Christopher C. Walton is the founder of Walton Law APC, an award-winning law firm with offices located in Southern California and Western Washington. After spending several years defending insurance companies, he now dedicates his practice exclusively to representing plaintiffs in the areas of personal injury, employment law, and nursing home neglect.
Since opening the doors to his firm, Chris has earned numerous awards for his advocacy on behalf of his clients. In 2020, he was awarded the Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award by Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. Since 2013, he has been selected to the Super Lawyers list each year, an honor only 5% of lawyers receive. In 2013 & 2014, The Daily Transcript listed Chris as a Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney. Chris maintains the highest possible rating (AV Preeminent) in both legal ability and ethical standard by Martindale-Hubbell.
Chris currently serves as the Immediate Past President for Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. He serves on the Board of Directors for Consumer Attorneys of California and is an Eagle Member for the Washington State Association for Justice. In 2012, he joined forces with Professor Robert Seibel in launching the Access to Law Initiative (ALI), a project aimed at bringing affordable and pro bono legal service to members of our community while providing mentorship and support to new lawyers opening their own law firm. In less than one year, ALI became a model for similar incubators all over the country. Chris also enjoys volunteering his time with the Service Members Civil Relief Act, protecting the legal rights of members of the U.S. military while they are deployed.
Chris earned his B.A. from Western Washington University, where he was listed on the President’s Honor List. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and graduated cum laude. While attending California Western, he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for superior academic achievement and the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Trial Practice, Advanced Mediation Advocacy, and his Clinical Internship. In his final year at California Western, he won an Environmental Law Negotiation Competition and was selected to compete nationally on behalf of the law school.
Chris is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Whatcom County Bar Association, North County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, Consumer Attorneys of California, Washington State Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He is admitted to practice law in Washington, Oregon, and California.
