In the case of the other resident, the nursing home did not provide them “a thorough and ongoing skin assessment that included observing for change in risk factors, pressure points, and evaluating effectiveness of interventions,” according to the citation.
  • Provide appropriate treatment and care according to professional standards of practice, in an instance in which the nursing home failed to assess and alert a resident’s physician of the resident’s respiratory symptoms, placing residents “at increased risk for decline in condition.”
